Part of the reason Cobblestones Auto Spa was shut down for so many years is that it was in the middle of the road.
At the time, it was one of the few places in Queens where you could actually drive through a traffic jam, as the Queens-based company ran a parking lot right beside the highway.
The parking lot, a large building in the Queens borough of Queens, was actually a part of a larger building that was built in the 1930s, according to a 2009 New York Times article.
The parking lot is now the home of Cobblaster, a vintage auto repair shop that opened in 2006.
Cobblaster was a one-stop shop for anyone needing a replacement or service.
The owner, David Zielinski, is an auto mechanic and his wife, Anna, is a designer who designs cars for companies like Rolls-Royce and Rolls-Car.
They opened the shop in 1977 in Cobbleston, Queens.
Cobblasters parking lot was a huge draw for many customers, including celebrities.
Celebrities including James Franco, Robert De Niro, Michael J. Fox, Bill Murray, and Bruce Willis visited Cobblers parking lot at least four times between 1978 and 1986.
And in 2012, the Queens Times reported that celebrities including Will Ferrell and John Lithgow drove through the parking lot for their shows.
Today, the parking is in disrepair.
In 2008, the Cobblerys had a huge parking lot that was demolished and replaced with a small parking lot.
This year, the new building is expected to open in 2018.
The Cobblercast building has also been torn down and replaced by a newer building.
The cobblestone building that used to house the Cobblerys was torn down last year.
But as of now, the former Cobblererys parking lot remains open.
We reached out to Cobblastic for comment, but have not received a response.
We will update this post if and when we hear back.
